About the role

Our dedicated Occupational Therapists in Hurstville serve a diverse client base, spanning from children to adults with various physical and intellectual disabilities. We offer flexibility, providing care in clients’ homes, community settings, or our office. Our mission involves conducting thorough functional assessments, setting personalised goals, and empowering clients to achieve those milestones through therapy and personalised assistive technology recommendations.

We provide our new graduates with a wide network of supports including communities of practice (regular monthly meetings with a wide range of Allied Health Professionals from all over NSW and SA!), regular clinical supervision (fortnightly) and personal development meetings with your supportive Team Leader!

Duties

As an Occupational Therapist, you will:

  • Collaborate with a range of clients, following a referral-based service model.
  • Coordinate the delivery of occupational therapy services, including assessments, diagnoses, and treatments.
  • Develop and implement client plans, ensuring effective monitoring and reviews.
  • Conduct home and community visits as required.
  • Liaise with medical and allied health professionals.
  • Coach and advise team members and carers.
  • Facilitate therapeutic groups and workshops.
  • Attend meetings and maintain accurate documentation.

Skills and Experience

  • Currently registered with AHPRA.
  • Passionate about supporting people with a disability to achieve their goals.
  • Honest and who carry out their role with integrity and demonstrate genuine respect for all people regardless of their disability, culture, age, gender, sexual orientation.
  • Experienced in applying evidence-based practice frameworks to assess, plan, deliver and evaluate clinical supports.
  • Effective time managers to ensure they can meet client goals and performance expectations.
  • Current driver’s license (pool cars provided).
