Join our transdisciplinary team as a part-time Occupational Therapist (3 days per week: Tues, Wed, Thurs). You’ll work across greater Bendigo and Loddon Mallee, engaging with clients of all ages, including children, adults, the elderly, and dogs! About the opportunity
As a person-centred Occupational Therapist, you will be supporting people of all ages (adults, children and seniors) within a transdisciplinary team to enhance the lives of our clients to live life on their terms.
In this role, you will:
- Provide both individual and group OT training/intervention programs
- Showcase your ability to deliver and evaluate clients through various interactive and digital assessments
- Assess and train clients in the use of assistive devices and equipment to do everyday activities, such as cooking, cleaning, showering etc.
- Provide/advise on low-vision techniques and strategies to improve their occupational performance in daily activities and improve their quality of life
About you
To be successful in this role, whether you are a graduate on your way to completion or an experienced professional, you must hold or be nearing completion of a nationally recognised Qualification in Occupational Therapy and maintain current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
You will also have:
- Knowledge and skills in working with children, adults, and older adults
- Be a team player who is passionate in supporting people to live life on their terms and build on their independence
- Enthusiastic to provide exceptional client services to people of all ages that are blind or low vision
- Being proactive and showing creativity is strongly encouraged
