Background

SoCha has an expanding profile of donor-funded monitoring, evaluation, and learning projects across Asia and seeks to staff a qualified Office and Administrative Manager to support these projects in the near term.

The Office and Administrative Manager will be responsible for establishing procedures for operations and administrative tasks to ensure the project team is able to achieve project goals.

Scope of Work

The Office and Administrative Manager’s responsibilities will be to:

  • In consultation with the HQ Office, establish procedures for the operations and maintenance of the office.
  • Oversee day-to-day office operations and requirements.
  • Oversee procurement and logistics for the project.
  • Manage office budget and petty-cash.
  • Assist business administration functions such as bill payments and filing.
  • Coordinate and chair meetings.
  • Manage administrative staff.
  • Format systems to meet client requirements.
  • In coordination with the HQ Office, take the lead in running the office including ordering and shopping for cleaning/stationery supplies and paying all utility bills.
  • Provide administrative support for the project management activities.
  • Assist in travel management, including quotes and booking in line with donor and SoCha requirements.
  • Ensure all records are kept up to date in line with SoCha policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as required to support the smooth operations of the company.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

  • Advanced degree in public administration, international development, or similar field.
  • At least eight (8) years of office management and/or administrative management experience in government or donor-funded projects.
  • Experience managing day-to-day office operations in addition to overseeing procurement and logistics, preferably in Southeast Asia.
  • Experience working on monitoring and evaluation and/or learning and adaptive management projects preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
  • The ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English required. Local SE Asian languages beneficial.

Location to be determined in south or southeast Asia.

Period of Performance

Full time position for the project duration, subject to availability of funding, following an initial probation period.
