Your opportunity
For more than 15 years, Mission Australia Housing has provided safe, affordable homes across five states and territories. With 4,500+ homes and 7,600 residents supported, we bring proven scale, strong governance, and deep community commitment.
In this pivotal and fast-paced position, you will provide high-level administrative support to senior leaders, manage complex tasks with independence, and help shape efficient systems that make a real impact. You will be the go-to person for organising meetings and events, preparing reports and presentations, managing reception and visitor coordination, and ensuring compliance with record-keeping and office asset management. Your key responsibilities will be to:
- Provide high-level administrative support to senior leaders and the State Leader, including preparing reports, presentations, and documentation.
- Develop and implement administrative processes and standards to improve efficiency and support organisational requirements.
- Manage reception and front office activities, including visitor coordination and handling enquiries and complaints with confidentiality and sensitivity.
- Organise meetings, events, and forums, including invitations, room bookings, catering, agendas, and minutes.
- Coordinate travel arrangements and fleet maintenance, ensuring smooth logistical operations.
- Maintain compliance with record-keeping and office asset management, including archiving and inventory control.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support service delivery and organisational success.
Requirements for success
- Current driver’s licence, Police Check and WWC Check.
- Relevant qualifications in Administration, Business, or a similar discipline or experience acceptable to Mission Australia.
- Proven experience providing high-level administrative and secretarial support.
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to work autonomously and manage complex tasks.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, both internally and externally.
- High level of computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to learn organisational systems.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate sensitivity toward disadvantaged clients.
- Capacity to work effectively in a busy, complex environment and as part of a collaborative team.
Before starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications, and referee checks, and have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people.
