Seas at Risk (SAR) is an umbrella organisation of environmental organisations from across Europe, working together to ensure that life in our seas and oceans is abundant, diverse, climate resilient, and not threatened by human activities. SAR is working on issues as diverse as marine protected areas, shipping, fisheries, deep-sea mining, and marine litter. We promote ambitious policies for marine protection at European and international level. With over 30 members representing the majority of European countries, SAR speaks for millions of citizens that care deeply about the health and wellbeing of seas and oceans. SAR is seeking a policy officer to join our team and work on offshore renewable energy. The objective of our work is to ensure that the roll out of offshore renewable energy in European seas is done with nature in mind. The role will involve advocacy, communications, and collaboration with partner NGOs.
Seas At Risk offers the opportunity to work in a growing NGO with a stimulating, informal, flexible and multicultural working environment.
The successful candidate will receive an open-ended contract with a gross monthly salary in the indicative range of €3,500 – €4,550 (negotiable according to experience) coupled with various benefits (including holiday bonus, 13th month, pension scheme, luncheon vouchers, work from home and representation allowances, contribution to public transport), and 32 days paid leave.
The post is based in Brussels, full time, to start as soon as possible. Flexible working time arrangements can be discussed.
