Title: O&M Service Field Engineer (Solar)Department: O&MLocation: London / UKType: Permanent / Full-timeSalary: £37,000 – £51,000 per annumThe role:An exciting opportunity to join an international renewable energy business focsuing on Solar PV, Wind and Battery Storage. With our diverse range ofSolar PV projects within the UK, the role involves overseeing the day-to-day operations and maintenance services to ensure optimal efficiency of the PV systems. As the successful O&M PV Engineer, you will provide technical reporting services for PV system maintenance, as well as handle preventative and corrective maintenance tasks.Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily site visits across our portfolio of sites
  • Collaborate closely with the HV engineer to carry out planned preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Assist in sourcing local suppliers for materials and services required for corrective maintenance activities.
  • Perform routine maintenance, testing, and remedial work on deployed solar PV systems.
  • Adhere to company procedures and protocols.
  • Execute preventative maintenance according to the annual plan
  • Address corrective maintenance as needed
  • Document activities performed on-site daily via reports.
  • Conduct risk assessments
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of electrical testing suitable for audit purposes.
  • Troubleshoot any systems not performing correctly.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Qualified electrician and Solar PV Engineer
  • 18th Edition Qualified with testing & inspection expertise or equivalent
  • Experience in supervising subcontractors
  • Proficient in computer literacy
  • Self-driven with the ability to work independently
  • Possession of a full UK Driving Licence
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Availability for travel and out-of-hours on-call duties per company policy
  • Strong technical aptitude and organizational skills.
  • Diligent approach to health and safety.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • HV qualifications AP15 or OP40 or equivalent
  • Specialized training or qualifications in specific PV inverter technologies
  • Credentials in communications or networking
  • IOSH or NEBOSH certification
  • Deep understanding of battery systems
