About the role
Are you passionate about retail, community, and sustainability? RSPCA Qld are seeking a dedicated Op Shop Manager for a permanent full-time role. In this role, you’ll oversee daily operations, look after our incredible volunteers, and ensure our customers enjoy a welcoming and engaging shopping experience. As part of RSPCA’s growing op shop network, you will contribute to achieving sales targets, driving community donations, and supporting our mission to change lives.

- Represent the RSPCA Qld Op Shop team and brand through your passion for all things preloved and second-hand and encourage the same within your team to create a positive supportive store atmosphere.
- Work closely with the Op Shop Store Manager and Area Manager, to support the goals and mission of the RSPCA Qld.
- Maintain a high level of customer service.
- Train and support volunteers.
- Drive sales to achieve set targets.
- Oversee and review all goods for sale in the store.
- Direct and monitor the daily register opening & closing procedures.
- Maintain and periodically review the shop’s pricing list.
About you
You’ll be a great communicator with top-notch interpersonal skills. If this is the right role for you, your skills and qualifications may also include:
- Confident in retail and must have demonstrated supervisor experience in a retail environment.
- Knowledge of fashion and clothing brands.
- Proven visual/merchandising skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills. Comfortable performing physical tasks including manual handling, bending, kneeling, and reaching, to carry out essential merchandising duties and assisting customers.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- High level of organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Sound computer skills.
- Proven ability to work well under pressure.
- Ability to supervise & provide direction to a small team.
