About the role

Are you passionate about retail, community, and sustainability? We’re on the lookout for a dynamic Op Shop Manager to lead one of our thriving stores. In this role, you’ll oversee daily operations, manage a dedicated team of staff and volunteers, and ensure our customers enjoy a welcoming and engaging shopping experience. As part of our large and expanding op shop network, you’ll also contribute to achieving sales targets, drive community donations, and support our mission of making a positive impact.   • Represent the RSPCA Qld Op Shop team and brand through your passion for all things preloved and second-hand and encourage the same within your team to create a positive supportive store atmosphere.
  • Work closely with the Op Shop Store Manager and Area Manager, to support the goals and mission of the RSPCA Qld.
  • Maintain a high level of customer service.
  • Train and support volunteers.
  • Drive sales to achieve set targets.
  • Oversee and review all goods for sale in the store.
  • Direct and monitor the daily register opening & closing procedures.
  • Maintain and periodically review the shop’s pricing list.

Who are we looking for?

  • Confident in retail and must have demonstrated leadership experience in a retail environment (minimum of 2 years in a similar role).
  • Knowledge of fashion and clothing brands.
  • Proven visual/merchandising skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • High level of organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Sound computer skills.
  • Proven ability to work well under pressure.
  • Ability to supervise & provide direction to a small team.
