Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit | The UNC Adams School of Dentistry Division of Craniofacial and Surgical Care provides a diverse approach to treatment for patients with craniofacial or oral and maxillofacial conditions, including those with multiple or complex oral health problems. The Orthodontics discipline focuses on the treatment of irregularities of the teeth, jaws, and bite relationship in children and adults. |
Position Summary | This orthodontic faculty position will assist course directors with clinical and didactic teaching in the DDS ACT curriculum as well as well in the graduate orthodontic curriculum. This position will provide development and revision of teaching materials for the ACT curriculum; revise and update existing digital teaching materials; provide clinical supervision of orthodontic patient care; and coordinate and lead individual DDS orthodontic diagnosis and treatment planning sessions. Please note that the stated FTE of .49 (19.6 hours per week) is negotiable down to .20 (8 hours per week). Rank will be determined based on the qualifications of the selected candidate. |
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements | DDS/DMD degree and completion of an orthodontic residency program from a CODA-accredited program, or equivalent. |
