MULTIPLE TENURE-TRACK FACULTY POSITIONS AVAILABLE

The Department of Microbiology, Biochemistry, and Molecular Genetics at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School (NJMS) is recruiting Assistant, Associate and Full Professors with interests in microbial pathogenesis, structural biology, human or microbial genetics, genomics, biochemistry, and computational biophysics.  Faculty are expected to establish and maintain an independent and innovative funded research program and contribute to teaching both graduate and medical students.  The department is primarily located in the International Center for Public Health (ICPH) which it shares with the Public Health Research Institute (PHRI) and the Center for Emerging Pathogens.  We are well-equipped for molecular research including a new fully equipped and staffed Cryo-EM lab, BSL3 and other state-of-the-art equipment and core facilities. Rutgers New Jersey Medical School is located in the University Heights section of Newark, New Jersey’s largest city, 20 minutes or less from either downtown New York City or verdant suburban neighborhoods.  Additional information about the department is available at: https://njms.rutgers.edu/departments/molecular_genetics/.

Applicants must have an MD, PhD or equivalent degree and postdoctoral training with a strong publication history in their area of expertise.  In addition, applicants should have demonstrated potential to obtain independent extramural funding.
