Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: Full-time, 40-hour work week, scheduled for approximately 730 hours between April and November. Normal days and hours of work are Monday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

What You’ll Do: In this field-based position as a Seasonal Open Space Trails Technician, you will be responsible for supporting the maintenance, construction, and stewardship of the Town’s open space properties and natural-surface trail system. This position performs physical labor associated with trail maintenance, erosion control, signage installation, and general open space upkeep, while working independently and as part of a team.
The Seasonal Open Space Trails Technician also serves as a front-line representative of the Open Space program by providing basic user assistance, supporting public education efforts, and reporting trial, safety, and resource conditions to supervisory staff. The position may assist with volunteer projects, special events, and natural resource stewardship activities, and work closely with year-round staff to support seasonal priorities and ongoing operations.
