The Role

We’re always looking to increase our impact and help more Friends on the street – striving to continually improve is in our DNA at Orange Sky. This role is a key member of our dynamic Operations Team, and vital to assisting the team with day-to-day administration tasks to ensure the smooth operation and improvement of services across Australia.

No day is ever the same, so the ideal applicant will thrive in a dynamic environment – we need someone who knows how to have lots of balls in the air that can’t be dropped, can think on the fly, and get creative to make things happen.

In a nutshell, this role is responsible for:

  • Managing general incoming calls and emails from friends, volunteers, contractors and the public, and provide support or appropriately refer
  • Assist with all general administrative tasks for the Operations Support team, including postage of supplies to all service locations, printing, ordering collateral, etc.
  • Assist with booking travel and accommodation for volunteers and the Operations Support team
  • Participate in identifying process improvements and streamlining workflows

Additionally, the ideal applicant has:

  • Outstanding interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to communicate with a highly diverse range of people
  • Well-developed written skills and problem-solving ability
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to manage competing demands and meet deadlines
  • High-level digital literacy, including experience with working across multiple IT systems
