The Land Trust of the Treasure Valley (LTTV) (www.lttv.org) is seeking an entry-level and impassioned individual to serve as a full-time salary exempt Operations Assistant for the organization (salary range $38-$42k). Based in Boise, Idaho, LTTV is an established non-profit conservation organization overseen by a diverse volunteer Board of Directors. LTTV operates in a service area that encompasses southwest Idaho, eastern Oregon, and northern Nevada.
Essential Duties
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Operations Assistant is intended to be a long-term growth position initially focused on providing basic bookkeeping, vendor/contractor management and program support. Over time in the near-term, and through gained experience, the position will grow to assume duties related to management of the donor database, financial and program recordkeeping, and human resource management. The intended long-term growth track for the position will be to assume increases in responsibility consistent with those of an Operations Specialist and ultimately a Deputy Director. Consistent with this intention, from the onset, the position will assume support roles across LTTV’s Operations, Conservation, Stewardship, Education, Communications, Fundraising and Accreditation Programs. Exposure to and engagement with the interdisciplinary programs of the organization will be elemental to the growth and success of this position.

Desired Qualifications and Experience
The Operations Assistant position is intended to be a long-tenured position where the successful candidate will ultimately maximize operational proficiency and efficiency within and across the organization. Through education or direct experience, the successful candidate will demonstrate the following desired qualities:
Additionally, the successful candidate will be competent and comfortable with regular public engagement and interaction among user groups, volunteers, partners, private landowners, neighbors, and youth. They will maintain an awareness for their role in representing the organization across a wide spectrum of constituents and their respective values. Establishing reasonable expectations and consistently delivering on those expectations with supporting communication is a keystone tenet of the organization.
Work Environment
The Operations Assistant position is expected to maintain an 85/15 office-to-field/event environment ratio. The LTTV staff and board is a relatively intimate team regularly working in coordination and complement to one another. The successful candidate will be comfortable and eager to integrate with the team. Conversely, with regards to daily affairs, the Operations Assistant will be expected to gain relative autonomy. The Operations Assistant will be stationed in the common room of the small office to greet visitors at the front door and have convenient access to the printer and filing. For these reasons successful fulfillment of the position will require the ability to complete duties amid regular distraction. LTTV operates primarily across Google and Office 365 platforms with the expectation for the Operations Assistant to gain proficiency in both.
Compensation and Benefits
The Operations Assistant will be a full-time exempt position with a salary ranging from $38-42k annually. LTTV provides health insurance and matching IRA contributions. LTTV recognizes eleven paid holidays, and new employees are granted ten days paid vacation.
