We are looking for someone to join our Eurasia and North Africa team. Tearfund is seeking an Operations and Assurance Lead in our region.
As the Operations & Assurance Lead you will promote and drive the very best operational performance within the region. You will be responsible for managing a team of skilled individuals to provide essential coordination at Regional level to our country programmes in the area of operational support and assurance, and coordinate closely with the Regional Director, Country Directors, UK & International Finance, Global Logistics, IT, Global HR, Operations & Assurance and Legal staff in accordance with Tearfund policy, and to feed information and learning back into Regional and global level management.

We are looking for someone who is:
- Substantial experience in a similar position at regional/managerial level.
- Extensive progressive experience in the areas relevant to this position, such as Finance, Logistics, Operations, or HR.
- Experience in management position in INGO.
- Experience in budgeting and finance management.
- Experience in engagement with compliance of partner programming.
- Experience in training and/or mentoring/coaching.
- Experience of oversight of compliance and security.
The candidate will also demonstrate excellent leadership, excellent communication skills in English and Arabic and be a strong negotiator, analytical and problem solver. Also have an influencing, presentation and Facilitation skills. In addition to all of this, he should be able to work in a fast moving environment and comfortable with constant change and has good knowledge of donor reporting and financial requirements.

The position will be based in Amman, Beirut, Damascus, Erbil, or Islamabad and preferably in Amman, Jordan. Applicants must therefore possess a valid passport/ visa stating the right to live and work in one of these countries.
The recruitment process will include specific checks related to safeguarding issues. In addition, personal identification information will be submitted against a Watchlist database to check against criminal convictions as a counter-terror measure.
