The Malawi Country Office offers an exciting and rewarding career opportunity for you to join our dynamic BSC team which includes the Administration and Finance units . The team under your leadership plays a pivotal support role in the execution of humanitarian response as well as development programme as the custodians of funds. Additionally, the unit is responsible for and ensures administrative support to the office, keeping the office operational.
Working under the overall guidance and supervision of Deputy Representative Operations, you will manage your team for improved funds and assets management, implement activities aiming at achieving high level of accessibility and inclusion and engaging more on greening activities. On the financial management, you will ensure to optimize the use of resources and reinforced the monitoring of grants allocated to Operations as well as the review of transactions during the weekly meetings.

By excelling in this role, you will contribute to the overall achievement of transformative results for children by delivering on the following key responsibility areas, but not limited to:
- Managing and Leading the dynamic Business Support Center team.
- Custodian of resources through compliance of UNICEF systems and procedure and internal controls.
- Effective communications, coordination and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders for smooth operational flow.

Minimum requirements:
- Education: An Advanced University Degree (Master’s and above) in one of the following areas is required: Business management; Financial management; Accounting; Public Finance is required or a full professional accounting designation (CA, ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA, CPFA, Expert Comptable) from an internationally recognized institute/body of accountancy with valid membership in good standing is required.
- A first University Degree in a relevant field combined with 2 additional years of professional experience may be accepted in lieu of an advanced university degree
- Work Experience: At least 5 years of relevant professional work experience in implementing organizational initiatives in one or more operations management area including financial management, administration management, budget, reporting and facilities management is required.
- Technical knowledge and Skills:
- UNICEF Operational policies, procedures and guidelines (UNICEF Financial rules framework) is required.
- Knowledge and understanding of UNICEF ERP system Vision/SAP is required.
- Principles of office management, accounting, finance management and administration is required.
- Language Requirements: Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another official UN language or local language of the duty station is considered as an asset.
