Operations Manager: Part Time, Three-Year Fixed Term Post – Reading

Salary: £14,667. (Equivalent full-time salary: £27,500)

Reading Gateway Church is a welcoming, vibrant, Spirit-led, and diverse community which is looking for an Operations Manager to come and join our growing team. This is a key appointment for us as we continue to grow our ministry and outwork our vision that God has given the parish: ‘to see South Reading experiencing and being transformed by the Good News of Jesus’.

We are looking for a dynamic manager who: has a passion for developing strategies, processes and procedures that support the efficient, safe and legally compliant outworking of Christian Ministry; enjoys working within a team whilst exercising leadership and vision; and is committed to enabling communication between, and the involvement of, all members of our church community.

This new and developing role will require: the ability both to see the big picture and an attention to detail; the skill to listen to people with forensic and empathetic perception in order to identify what is needed and what will work in our church setting; the self-discipline to see projects and initiatives through to completion even when they are not capturing the attention of other leaders; the character to find joy and reward in enabling the church to run smoothly, whilst often operating in the background of our ministry; the courage to challenge poor or unsafe practices.
