Independent non-profit organization cares about the Syrian affairs, where it started its activities in the city of Aleppo north of Syria and was licensed in turkey in 2014.

Bonyan’s refugee response program is structured around three axes: education, protection, and livelihoods.

Job Summary:
The job holder will work with project coordinators, with the rest of the operations departments, and with the implementing partners to ensure that financial reports are estimated in the appropriate manner and on time.

Job Details:

  • Verify Implementing Partner’s financial documentation as required.
  • Review grant agreements and supporting documents to ensure accuracy, consistency, reasonableness, and compliance.
  • Review and advise on project budget and grant agreements.
  • Review and advise on budget amendments and no-cost extension requests.
  • Maintain a complete, accurate, and updated detailed list of disbursements to IPs.
  • Regular follow-up with IPs to obtain financial reports.
  • Review interim and final financial reports and confirm the amount for additional disbursements.
  • Initiate the process to ensure disbursements as required and follow up on any reimbursements.
  • Conduct financial spot-checks in line with operational modalities.
  • Support Fund analysis for informing future allocations.
  • Train partners on the Fund’s financial rules and regulations
  • Prepare financial analysis for standard and ad-hoc reporting requirements.
  • Ensure timely financial reporting in compliance with donors’ requirements.
  • Coordination with the supply chain department to follow up on the implementation of operations.
  • Coordination with the HR Department to implement project-related operations.
  • Working to meet the requirements of the Fundraising Department, including contracts with service providers or human resources, in coordination with the rest of the departments.

Academic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 experience in financial management and grants management.
  • Familiar with working on accounting software.
  • High computer literacy level with expected proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF, Photoshop, and Internet.
  • Ability to work independently, take personal initiative, and multi-task including strong facilitation skills in an ever-changing dynamic operational environment.

Skills:

  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to coordinate with multiple parties.
  • Good reporting skills.
  • Excellent English language skills (spoken, written, and reading), Turkish language skills is a plus.
