WHAT WE CAN ACHIEVE TOGETHER

The Operations Program Coordinator will work as a part of a team within a business unit coordinating tasks related to one or more functional activities, such as operations support, administrative finance/accounting support for a business unit, procurement, meetings management, special events, training and volunteer programs. The Operations Program Corodinator will work towards meeting the strategic priorities of the program by implementing tactics for approved plans and completing day-to-day tasks and activites. This role will communicate with staff in various programs across the Conservancy, as well as with donors, volunteers, vendors, and business relations. They will communicate or distribute information to assist staff in making decisions, solving problems, and improving workflow. This position requires travel and working long, and flexible hours, as needed. The work environment involves only infrequent exposure to disagreeable elements and minor physical exertion and/or strain. 

The pay for this position is $28.00/hour. 

RESPONSIBILITES & SCOPE 

  • Perform duties under general supervision and established guidelines;
  • Act independently on assigned tasks and excercise independent judgement based on analysis and experience; 
  • Identify routine problems and utilize existing resources for resolution, referring difficult questions and problems to supervisor; 
  • Effectively communicate information to assist staff in making decisions, solving problems, and improving workflow; 
  • Adapt or modify processess in response to changing circumstances; 
  • Demonstrate sensitivity in handling confidential information; 
  • Ensure compliance with TNC policies and procedures, and external (donor/legal/IRS) requirements;
  • Assist with Operations Orientation for new staff;
  • Operations responsibilities include purchasing, central filing, mailroom operations, facility management, telecommunications, and reception;
  • Support Finance Department in processing invoices, purchasing, contracting with vendors, and leases; 
  • Be responsive and timely with daily communication, requests;
  • Perform donor checks processing, with Development staff. Responsible for deposits and batch reports, and maintaining a working knowledge of CashPro and BBCRM;
  • Basic tech support for internal meetings and office support

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

  • Two or more years of experience or equivalent combination.
  • Experience coordinating administrative processes. 
  • Experience generating reports and interpreting data. 
  • Experience in business writing, editing, and proofreading. 
  • Experience organizing time and managing diverse activities to meet deadlines.
  • Experience performing one or more administrative processes. 
  • Experience working across teams and communicating with a wide range of people.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Multi-lingual skills and multi-cultural or cross-cultural experiences are appreciated. 
  • Ability to analyze information for the purpose of preparing reports, coordinating activities and solving problems. 
  • Ability to apply research skills.
  • Ability to write and edit written materials for use with program communications and special events. 
  • Database skills, including managing and tracking data, and producing reports. 
  • Excellent customer service skills and focus. 
  • Experience, coursework, or other training in relevant field. 
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

SALARY INFORMATION

The pay for a candidate selected for this position is $28.00/hr. This only applies to candidates whose country of employment is the USA. Where a successful candidate’s actual pay will fall within this range will be based on a variety of factors, including, for example, the candidate’s location, qualifications, specific skills, and experience. Please note countries outside the USA would have a different pay range in the local currency based on the local labor market, and not tied to USA pay or ranges. Your geographic location will be confirmed during the recruitment.
