At our GKN Filton site, we specialise in the design and manufacture of large complex structural wing assemblies, detailed metallic components and wing systems for a combination of both civil and military aircraft.

Are you a highly motivated and results-driven professional with a passion for engineering and innovation? We are on the lookout for a talented Project Engineer to be a key player in our dynamic team. Reporting directly to the Site Transformation Lead, you will be at the forefront of leading and executing site transformation projects.
In this pivotal role, you will:

  • Lead with Vision: Drive and oversee site transformation projects from conception to completion.
  • Deliver Excellence: Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Innovate and Inspire: Bring fresh ideas and innovative solutions to the table.
  • Collaborate and Communicate: Work closely with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.

⦁ Develop and manage project plans and schedules, utilizing project management frameworks and methodologies.
⦁ Oversee project execution, including managing resources, mitigating risks, and identifying and resolving issues proactively.
⦁ Track project progress, analyze data, and report on key metrics to senior management.
⦁ Proactively challenge the status quo and drive continuous improvement to ensure project success.2. Stakeholder Engagement:⦁ Maintain strong communication and collaboration with stakeholders at all levels, keeping them informed of progress and updates.
⦁ Demonstrate strong self-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and work independently.
⦁ Possess a strong work ethic, with a determination to succeed and a willingness to learn and develop new skills.What You’ll BringTo help us make a difference, you’ll bring your passion and expertise/ talent for what you do along with the following skills, experience, qualifications and attributes:⦁ Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience).
⦁ Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in project engineering or a related field
⦁ Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
⦁ Project Management: Basic understanding of project management principles and methodologies.
⦁ Process Improvement Skills: Understanding of Lean Principles, SPC and Six Sigma methodologies are advantageous.
⦁ Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
⦁ Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and build strong working relationships.
⦁ Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)The successful candidate will be proactive and driven, you possess a self-motivated nature with a strong passion for site communications and project management, thriving in independent work environments. Your meticulous attention to detail underscores your unwavering commitment to delivering high-quality work. Agile and adaptable, you seamlessly pivot in response to changing priorities and requirements.
