Banyule Community Health Dental Team requires the services of an Oral Health Therapist who can work part time 2-3 days per week. The role is responsible for providing oral health services within scope of practice. The senior role accepts referrals and acts a mentor and supervises less experienced clinicians.
The successful applicant must demonstrate they are able to work effectively in a team environment, demonstrate well developed interpersonal skills with a strong commitment to community based dental practice.
The key responsibilities for this position include:
- Quality dental services including preventative, emergency and general direct patient care and oral health education
- Support outreach programs
The key skills required for this role include:
- ADC Qualified /Registered Oral Health Therapist
- Community health experience
- Use of Titanium Client Database Management Software
- Radiation Licence
Banyule Community Health Dental services is a modern 9 chair clinic and comprises outreach and the Smile Squad program located in Heidelberg West, VIC.
Banyule dental clinic also provides dental training in collaboration with Melbourne University. The Dental Team is friendly, professional, fully computerised and supported by a large, dedicated reception. The service has been fully accredited for many years. Alongside the Dental Service runs a comprehensive range of Allied Health Services, Counselling Services, Medical Services and Community Health and Wellbeing activities.
