AGIAMONDO e.V. is the personnel service of the German Catholics for Development Cooperation. The Civil Peace Service (CPS) offers development workers a meaningful role working with local development agents. The CPS is a personnel programme for peace-building and the prevention of violence in crisis and conflict regions. It sets out to promote a world in which conflicts are settled without violence. Working with church-related and civil-social partner organisations in Liberia, AGIAMONDO aims to make a contribution towards civil conflict management and the sustainable and equitable development of the country through peace-building measures.
Women in Liberia are among the most disadvantaged population groups, particularly in the area of education. High school dropout rates due to early marriage and teenage pregnancies are widespread, while initiatives to boost self-confidence are rare. Women have limited spaces to share feelings with other women, yet they are considered key actors for family well-being. As a CPS Gender Equitable Organisational Development Specialist, you will support Youth Care Liberia (YCW) to make a positive contribution to women’s empowerment and gender equality.
To support our local partner organisation in Uganda we are looking for a Organizational Consultant for Gender Equality (m/f/x).

- Promote the development and maintenance of a network with national and international stakeholders to enable collaborative working and share best practices.
- Actively engage in advocacy to raise awareness on gender issues and develop fundraising initiatives to financially support YCWL projects.
- You will be responsible for the proper spending and management of funds on the ground in accordance with donor guidelines and AGIAMONDO requirements. You will work in partnership with the partner organization.
Your profile
- You have a degree in a relevant subject area such as gender studies, social sciences, social work or education.
- You have already successfully carried out organizational consulting with a focus on gender equality.
- Experience in the design and implementation of training courses and workshops is an advantage.
- Your strong intercultural skills enable you to operate successfully in diverse cultural contexts and build sustainable interpersonal relationships.
- You have a very good command of English.
- You are an EU citizen or Swiss national and you identify with the goals and concerns of church development and peace work
