Job Overview: CEO is a subsidiary of the International Rescue Committee and a non-profit financial institution that offers accessible, small-dollar consumer and microenterprise loans primarily to refugees, immigrants and other traditionally financially-excluded communities. CEO makes its loans through partnerships with trusted community-based organizations that offer financial education and other asset-building services.
The Origination & Servicing Manager is a new remote position with primary responsibility for conducting essential loan origination and servicing functions. Reporting to the Deputy Director, Origination & Servicing, the Manager also plays a critical role in identifying areas for improvements across policies, procedures and systems, with the goal of enhancing efficiency, the customer experience and mitigating risk to the organization. This is a full-time, exempt position reporting to the Deputy Director, Origination & Servicing.
Major Responsibilities:
Origination & Servicing
- Coordinate and manage the servicing and origination process from initiation to completion and inclusive of loan modifications and restructures;
- Review loan originations for accuracy, compliance and correct pricing and loan terms
- Work directly with clients, partners and other departments to ensure timely, efficient and accurate completion of origination and servicing tasks
- Respond promptly and professionally to customer and partner inquiries related to servicing and origination
- Ensure all modified loans and loans in arrears have proper risk rating classifications assigned and support in monthly and quarterly calculation of loan-loss reserve requirements
- Support in collections and repossession
Reporting
- Support the Deputy Director, Origination and Servicing in creating weekly, monthly and quarterly portfolio reports in close coordination with the finance team
- Ensure data quality, accuracy and timeliness of all key reporting functions related to loan servicing, modifications and arrears management
Strategic Enhancements
- In close collaboration with the Deputy Director, Origination & Servicing and other related internal teams, help develop and improve servicing and origination procedures, policies, and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy
- Support the team in developing and refining customer support and collections policies, service level agreements and other foundational procedures to support fulfillment of CEO’s mission and maintain credit quality
Job Requirements:
- Accounting or bookkeeping training and/or coursework preferred; 4-year degree in related field required but direct experience can substitute for academic credentials
- Prior professional work experience with minimum of 2 years accounting and bookkeeping procedures and standards
- Previous experience working in a similar role for a non-profit financial institution required
- Prior experience working in a diverse, multicultural, non-profit setting required
- Proficiency with ZenDesk or other multi-channel CRM system required
- High degree of professional integrity; ability and commitment to maintain confidentiality of sensitive data
- Solid organizational skills: detail-oriented, ability to multi-task, set priorities, and meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently, be flexible and work well under pressure in a fast-paced team environment
- Excellent communication, analysis and negotiation skill, availability to work with a variety of stakeholders
- Good interpersonal skills: ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural environment
- Solid Computer skills: MS Word, Excel, other financial related software strongly preferred

- This is a remote position that can accommodate candidates in any U.S. State. The majority of the workday is at a computer terminal. While remote, the position may require travel to conferences or in-person team meetings, estimated to be less than 5% time.
Compensation: Posted pay ranges apply to US-based candidates. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget. Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience and skills relative to the defined job requirements.
