Reports to: WSBRC Project Officer
Contract: Fixed Term until August 2024
Hours: 37.5 hours per week with a requirement for occasional weekend and
evening work (Mon-Sun)
Based at: Elm Tree Court, Devizes with travel across Wiltshire with some home
working available
The ornithological field assistant role will assist with delivering our programme of works
relating to species of conservation concern. This involves undertaking surveying, monitoring
and conservation work targeted at some of the county’s most vulnerable and declining bird
species. The job will principally involve working on breeding Lapwing survey and monitoring as
part of Project Peewit alongside other species focused conservation work. This work feeds into
WSBRC and the Wildlife Trusts ambition to deliver nature’s recovery across Wiltshire and
Swindon.
