Job Summary:
Under direct supervision, responsible for providing casting and bracing support to orthopedic providers. Ensures best care and patient experience for all patients.
Job Duties:
· Applies and adjusts plaster casts and assembles/attaches orthopedic traction equipment and devices.
· Inspects and adjusts bandages and equipment as needed.
· Aids in the reduction of fractures by preparing and assisting patients with the operation of appropriate equipment.
· Assists in the treatment of sterile and infected wounds by providing sterile cleansing, cleansing open and draining wounds, and applying wound dressing.
· Stocks supplies and maintains sterilization of medical instruments and equipment.
· Stocks/restocks examination rooms on a daily basis.
· Triage’s and inputs patient medical documentation and/or application/supply charges into appropriate systems.
· Assists with all patients encounters and follows up as needed.
· Performs all other duties as assigned.
Education:
High school diploma or GED is required.
Experience:
One (1) year of related experience is required.
