About the role
Our OSHC offers before and after school care as well as vacation care. Located on the grounds of Mackillop College Warnervale. Our team are fully engaged to help proved and create an environment that is fun, warm, caring, and safe for all our children.
The OSHC is operates Monday to Friday before school 6:30am to 9am, afternoons from 3:00pm to 6pm and during the school holidays from 7:00am to 6pm.
We are looking for an Educator who can work 25 hours per week:
- Before School Care – Monday 6:30 – 9am, and one other day (negotiable) 6:30 – 9am
- After School Care – 5 days, either 2-6pm or 2:30 – 6:30pm
You will bring with you:
- Willingness to learn the My Time, Our Place Framework
- Ensuring a welcoming, safe, hygienic environment, reflective of best practices
- Able to step up as a responsible person as required
- Assisting to safely take children to school in the mornings and collect them in the afternoons
- Ability to assist with organising snacks and assist in planning a program
- Creating a fun and engaging environment through play experiences
- Ability to form collaborative and positive relationship with colleagues
Requirements
- Current and valid Working With Children Check clearance
- Completion of CHCPRT025 “Identify & report children and young people at risk” certificate or willingness to obtain.
Highly Desirable
- Experience working with school aged children
- Cert III in children services/out of school hours care or working towards.
- First Aid certificate or willingness to obtain one before starting
