We’re seeking dedicated Educators to join us in providing engaging before and after school care, as well as vacation care for young people.
The role offers flexibility with hours from 6.30am to 9am for before school care and 2.30pm-6.30pm for after school care, accommodating your personal life commitments. During school holidays, there is the opportunity to pick up full days of work in vacation care. You’ll be part of our not-for-profit Child Care Services, known for exceeding or meeting national quality education standards.
This position is perfect for those seeking a role that complements studying or offers a great work/life balance. Our services span across the Penrith LGA, operating in purpose-built facilities as well as school sites.
Your day will involve
As an OSHC Engagement Educator, you’ll be responsible for planning and executing activities that foster the development of life skills while igniting a sense of excitement and curiosity. Here’s a glimpse into what your day might involve:
- Interacting and supervising with young people
- Facilitating Life Skills Development
- Snack and Mealtimes
- Planning activities
- Building relationships
Temporary Part-time positions are available in the following locations:
- South Penrith (Afternoons only)
- Cranebrook (Afternoons only)
- Cambridge Gardens (Morning and afternoon)
- Orchard Hills (Tuesday afternoon)
What are we looking for
- Experience supervising and interacting with children
- Working with children check (WWCC)
- Current First Aid Certificate with Asthma and Anaphylaxis and CPR (HLTAID004 / HLTA012)
- Ability to follow safeguarding priorities
- Team player, contributing and upholding organisational values
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritise tasks to get things done efficiently
What we would like you to have – desirables
- Completed or working towards a qualification in a relevant field (Childcare, Sport & Recreation, Youth Work, Social Sciences, Teaching, Community Services, Health)
- Current LR Driver License (or willing to obtain)
- Child Protection Certificate – Identify and Respond to Children and Young People at Risk (or willing to obtain)

Commencing hourly rate: $30.00 – $34.72 + 11.5% superannuation.
