Vacancy Announcement – Outreach & Administrative Coordinator – Amador Resource Conservation District
Position Overview
The Outreach & Administrative Coordinator plays a key role in advancing ARCD’s mission to promote responsible natural resource management throughout Amador County and the Central Sierra region. This position blends outreach, education, and communications work with administrative responsibilities to ensure smooth internal operations while strengthening community engagement across ARCD and AFSC programs.
The Coordinator will assist with partnership coordination, and contribute to workshops, community events, and support daily office operations. This role will help develop and implement outreach strategies, public communications, and educational initiatives that increase awareness of conservation and wildfire resilience efforts.
This position is essential in connecting the community to conservation. Through strategic communications, engaging programs, and meaningful public outreach, the Coordinator will help residents learn about and participate in local conservation and fire-prevention efforts while highlighting the impact and value of ARCD and AFSC initiatives.
This is a full-time, non-exempt position (40 hours per week) that works closely with ARCD and AFSC staff, partner organizations, government agencies, and public and private landowners. Because ARCD and AFSC maintain a strong collaborative relationship, the Coordinator will provide support to both organizations.
