This position is responsible for assisting with implementing various outreach and education programs for DNR’s Wildlife & Heritage Service (WHS). The incumbent works closely with Natural Heritage Outreach and Education staff, state educators, and the public to assist with filling educational outreach needs and priorities. This position assists with multiple outreach programs, including Project WILD, MD State Fair, Envirothon, Wild Acres, and Becoming an Outdoors Woman. Overall, these programs educate thousands of Maryland’s citizens every year. Project Wild and Envirothon directly reach thousands of students in the classroom and in outdoor settings each year. Project Wild and Envirothon also serve to instruct hundreds of educators in the environmental sciences each year, which they in turn share with their students.
