Outreach Coordinator (Planner I or II)

The Whatcom County Planning and Development Services Department is seeking to fill the position of Planner I or II.  This opportunity is in our Long-range Planning Division and within the Conservation Easement Program as an Outreach Coordinator.  

This position is fully funded by the Conservation Futures Fund for the Conservation Easement Program (CEP) administration and staff support for the CEP Oversight Committee. The position will work with the Conservation Easement Program Administrator to support the public, advisory committees, land trust, and other planning staff to carry out the objectives of the Whatcom County Conservation Easement Program as an Outreach Coordinator. 

The CEP is a voluntary program that compensates property owners for the value of their unused development rights and protects the land through the placement of permanent conservation easements with a primary focus on farmland preservation.
