Job description

EPPA is looking for a public affairs consultant to integrate in its Sustainability Practice Team, in which he/she/they will:

  • Monitor and report on policy and regulatory developments related to the EU Green Deal such as circular economy, consumer policies, food, agriculture, energy and digital; provide analysis on relevant policy developments, identifying critical points and impacts for our clients.
  • Actively advice clients in advocacy and engagement strategies towards EU and national officials, MEPs and key stakeholders; develop and steer content creation such as policy papers, presentations, reports to support the interest of the different client accounts;
  • Be responsible for the day-to-day management and steering of client accounts, contributing to strategy conception and execution, while becoming the reference point vis-à-vis clients;
  • Work alongside a multi-cultural and international team of junior and senior colleagues; support growing your team with your ideas, your creativity, your entrepreneurship and your positive energy.
  • Represent EPPA & our clients in meetings with third parties where needed, including with European Commission, European Parliament and Member States authorities.
  • Support EPPA´s management in new business development efforts (preparation of proposals, presentations in pitches & conferences, etc.)

Profile Required

  • +2 years of professional experience working in European public affairs, either in EU institutions, consultancies, in-house, trade associations, NGOs or think tanks in Brussels;
  • ·revious professional experience within the areas of sustainability, circular economy and chemicals is a plus;
  • Solid understanding of EU decision-making processes, EU institutions governance as well as others that play a role in policy development (e.g., trade associations, NGOs and think tanks)
  • Good understanding of EU Green Deal policies (e.g., Circular Economy Action Plan, Biodiversity Strategy, Farm-to-Fork strategy, Chemicals Strategy for Sustainability etc.);
  • Active team player with capacity to work in parallel accounts; capacity to manage & lead accounts under the supervision of senior colleagues;
  • Excellent research, writing and analytical skills; proficient organizational and communications skills – both oral and written;
  • Networker, self-starter and team player within a multinational and multicultural environment;
  • Master´s Degree in Political Science, International Studies, European Studies, Law, etc;
  • Fluent English, with additional mastering of third EU languages being a plus.
