Painter
Facilities Services Operations and Maintenance
Location:  New Orleans, LA
Summary

The painter will perform industrial/commercial type painting, refinishing, and spraying to structures, furnishings, surfaces, and equipment. Hang and finish drywall and wall paper and finish casework.  Responsible with cleaning and maintaining work areas.

This is an Essential Personnel position which can require that the incumbent must report for duty and work through emergencies, and also can be designated by the supervisor as essential for the accomplishment of work, or for the completion of a critical task.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Capable of following oral, written and diagrammed instructions
  • Ability and willingness to work nights, weekends, and possibly holidays

Required Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Three years of related experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in other trades in addition to painting

Compensation Information
