TITLE: Paradise Point Nature Center Coordinator
LOCATION: Paradise Point Nature Center, Hebron, NH
HOURS: 35 hours per week, full-time, non-exempt (hourly paid) staff position. Additional hours may be required as necessary. Schedule may vary according to needs.
SCHEDULE: Seasonal position, May 15 – September 8, 2026, possible hours available starting early May for Center preparations ahead of opening and after the end date to help clean the center. Anticipated schedule: Weekends, Monday, Tuesday, and Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
FUNCTION: This position will support the mission of New Hampshire Audubon, to protect New Hampshire’s natural environment for wildlife and for people, by presenting as the face of Paradise Point Nature Center, providing quality customer service to visitors and the general public, overseeing the Nature Store, and generating memberships and sales to benefit the organization. Paradise Point Nature Center, part of the Newfound Audubon Center, is a center part of an assembly of three wildlife sanctuaries (Paradise Point, Hebron Marsh, and Bear Mountain) located on the beautiful north shore of Newfound Lake in Hebron, NH. Responsibilities include greeting visitors, keeping working knowledge of center and organization activities, upholding a tidy and presentable visitor space, conducting retail sales, maintaining store inventory, and acting as on-site building caretaker.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee the Paradise Point Nature Center Front Desk and Nature Store to provide a quality service for members and the public and generate a mission-driven brand merchandising center for the organization by:

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High School diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Experience: One to three years visitor services, admin, and/or retail services experience required. Must have exceptional verbal and written communication skills, the ability to make independent and coordinated decisions, and work effectively within a diverse community. Must have experience with MS Office products and database programs. Basic understanding of natural history and New Hampshire’s wildlife, especially birds, is preferred but can be learned on the job.
Skills, Traits and Characteristics Necessary for Success: Must have the ability to prioritize and complete work tasks on time in a complex and dynamic workspace, with a positive attitude, excellent customer service skills, the ability to work independently, and a professional and courteous manner. Must have the ability to represent the organization in a positive and mission-driven manner in compliance with professional standards.
Physical Demands: To perform the essential functions of the position, the following applies: requires sitting for extended periods of time, as well as standing, stretching, bending, walking, lifting and transporting a minimum of 25 pounds.
COMPENSATION: Compensation for this hourly, full-time position is $16 – $19 an hour; commensurate with experience. This position includes a free NH Audubon annual membership as well as access to pro deals and employee discounts.
