Come join our Visitor Services team! The Upper Mississippi River National Wildlife and Fish Refuge – La Crosse District and Trempealeau National Wildlife Refuge are each hiring a seasonal up-to-six month GS-5 Park Ranger position. https://www.usajobs.gov/job/851500700   

Summary: 6 month GS-5 Park Ranger position, starting in April or May; 40 hrs/wk; Saturday work hours may be required. Pay starts at $19hr. Previous work experience and/or 4-year degree required. Valid driver’s license needed.

Job Duties: We’re seeking enthusiastic and self-driven people to:

• Develop and present indoor and outdoor interpretive programs including guided talks and walks
• Create and present curriculum-based environmental education programs for children
• Support Visitor Center or contact station operations
• Create digital and print media – including posters, news releases and more
• Be comfortable working outdoors
