CRIMINAL JUSTICE (BL-CRIM-IUBLA)
The Department of Criminal Justice supports an interdisciplinary field drawing on the social sciences, legal studies, and the humanities. Our faculty and staff support robust undergraduate, 4+1 Pathway (AMP), and Ph.D. programs.

The Administrative position with the Department of Criminal Justice supports the department and works closely with the Program Manager.
Department Specific Responsibilities
- Serves as contact person for Facilities, CITO, UITS, and other IU departments as needed for tracking of repairs and issues.
- Supports faculty with room reservations, copies, and other administrative needs as needed.
- Tracks and manages department IT.
- Assists with website updates, maintenance, and social media.
- Oversees space management and room assignments.
- Manages Listservs, office hours, and bulletin boards.
- Orders textbooks.
- Develops and manages department and external surveys.
- Manages and assists the Program Manager in the development of department promotional materials.
- Maintains department alumni records and oversee the alumni outreach in coordination with the Program Manager.
- Coordinates and facilitates faculty, graduate students, and non-employee travel. Attend training workshops related to travel and the processing of reimbursements.
- Plans and coordinates department events. Work closely with the Program Manager and the Graduate Coordinator on events.
- Assists Program Manager with other administrative needs as they arise for the department.
General Responsibilities
- Assists with administrative needs related to the daily operations, planning, and implementation of various or multiple student services initiatives.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent (such as HSED or GED)
WORK EXPERIENCE
Required
- 2 years in office environment, higher education, or related field

This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.

$17.00-$18.00 per hour
