Catamount Institute is a nonprofit organization dedicated to connecting kids to the outdoors through engaging environmental education and outdoor adventure programs. For nearly 30 years, we have inspired curiosity, confidence, and a lifelong connection to nature for youth across the Pikes Peak Region.
Serving children ages two to 18, Catamount Institute provides hands-on outdoor learning experiences that foster exploration, science education, stewardship, and personal growth. In 2025 alone, we engaged nearly 6,000 youth and delivered more than 40,000 hours of outdoor environmental education through camps, school programs, after-school programs, and community partnerships.
Summary: The Part-Time Development & Communications Coordinator supports fundraising, donor engagement, outreach, and organizational communications. This position will work closely with the Executive Director to help build and strengthen relationships with donors, sponsors, community partners, and supporters through outreach, communications, event support, and storytelling. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, comfortable communicating with a variety of audiences, and excited to help expand Catamount Institute’s community impact and fundraising efforts.
Compensation and Benefits:
Location: Primary – Catamount Institute’s administrative office at Westside Community Center, 1616 W. Bijou St., with occasional responsibilities at program sites or community events.
