Job Description:

Falk College seeks a part-time instructor to teach SWK 7345 M700 Principles and Methods of Social Work Practice with Black Families (3 credits) in the Spring 2024 (1/9/2024-5/12/2024) semester. Course Description: Explorations of principles and methods in working with Black families. Various practice interventions will be examined within the cultural context germane to this population with respect given to historical underpinnings that have molded the consciousness of the Black experience in America.
Additional Course Description:
The course will underscore the realities of the Black experience in this country as it relates to Black families. Social, political, and economic perspectives will be examined in conjunction with Black family patterns. Best practices in social work will be explored vis-à-vis Black family functioning and stability. Current practice innovations with subsystems within the Black family will be discussed.
Class Meets: Synchronous Weekly Session w/asynchronous content managementThursday 6:00 p.m. -7:30 p.m., EST
MSW Online Program – Spring 2024 Semester dates: January 16, 2024 to April 29, 2024
Sync: Live Sessions begin week of January 16, 2024
