ABOUT THE ROLE
Transparency International (TI) is the global civil society organization leading the fight against corruption. In collaboration with more than 100 chapters worldwide and an international secretariat in Berlin, Germany, TI raises awareness of the damaging effects of corruption and works with partners in government, business and civil society to develop and implement effective measures to tackle it.
The Designer and Brand Coordinator leads the design of Transparency International marketing products, both online and print, producing key design materials and coordinating the overall look and feel and quality assurance of graphic design standards across the TI-Secretariat and the TI Movement. They work with minimal supervision to coordinate multiple publishing projects, with a focus on design-dependent ones, supervising the work of external vendors.

Band: Band PF2, salary starting at €42,000 p.a.
Starting Date: 1 April 2024
Contract Duration: Currently we can offer an employment contract limited for a duration of two years, with the possibility of extension.
Working Hours: Part-Time [80%; 32 hours per week]

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE ROLE
- Conceptualize and design all types of online materials such as infographics, social media, banners, email templates and other content that communicates TI work and key messages in a visually compelling and engaging style.
- Manage the design and U/I components of major web and technology-dependent communications development projects.
- Oversee key TI print and marketing products, including publications, posters, flyers, etc.
- Supervise the work of external designers and printers, ensuring projects are delivered on time, to budget and to expected quality.
- Maintain, revise and implement TI visual identity graphical and design standards to ensure consistency and TI brand protection.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of design materials and templates for use by TI Secretariat and TI National Chapters.
- Keep current with emerging digital trends and technologies.
CANDIDATE PROFIL
- Graduate or undergraduate degree in communications, arts, design or another relevant field
- 5+ years of practical experience in design work in industry or with an agency
- Proven track record of producing visually impactful designs, both online and print
- Expert use of Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign, Photoshop & Illustrator, and other prototyping tools
- Fluent in HTML, CSS and JavaScript
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and remain calm under pressure
- Dynamic self-starter; highly motivated, comfortable in taking initiative and able to work with minimum supervision, with thorough eye for detail
- Structured, reliable, flexible and highly articulate
- Additional languages, in particular, Arabic, Spanish and/or French, desirable
- Knowledge of and interest in corruption, development issues and international affairs
WHAT WE OFFER
In order to succeed in this role, candidates will need to meet the following:
- Undergraduate or postgraduate university degree or professional qualification in the legal field, social sciences, administration or another relevant field
- 5+ years of relevant experience with an International NGO, or International Organisation, or Multinational Organisation working on project or process management, business administration, compliance or another relevant field
- Experience in project or process management, event management or communications required
- Knowledge of, or considerable interest in, the work of TI and the field of anti-corruption
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to effectively manage priorities and competing demands
- Knowledge of organizational / capacity development and policy development an advantage
- Excellent communication skills, particularly in remote communication
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to produce accurate documentation (e.g. reports) with attention to detail
- Proven knowledge of CRM Systems an advantage
- Ability to handle multiple tasks across a wide range of issues and to work effectively under pressure
- High level of intercultural competence, diplomacy, and political sensitivity
