Part-Time Payroll Accounting Assistant

The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a Part-Time Payroll Accounting Assistant. The Payroll Assistant is a part-time position scheduled on as a needed basis to 19 hours per week.  The primary duties of the position will be providing administrative support to Senior Payroll & Accounting Analyst and other Payroll related duties as assigned.

• Assist Senior Payroll Account Analyst with reconciling the General Ledger accounts (Payroll Liability accounts).
• Answer employee/manger questions accurately maintained and personal employee data is confidential.
• Administrative functions performed may include data entry strong attention to detail.
• Process ad hoc reports daily.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Excellent organizational skills.
• Must have proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook products.
• Ability to adhere to and meet strict deadlines.

• High school diploma required.

• Associate’s degree in accounting, finance or related field preferred.
• Preferably some office experience.

Minimum Starting Salary: $18.34 per hour
