About Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS

Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS is the philanthropic heart of
the Broadway community. Money raised by Broadway Cares funds
organizations across the country that provide lifesaving
medication, healthy meals, counseling and emergency assistance for
those in need and crisis. Broadway Cares is the single largest
financial supporter of the Entertainment Community Fund (formerly
The Actors Fund), helping everyone in entertainment and the
performing arts.  Broadway Cares also awards annual grants to
more than 450 social service organizations responding to the needs
of those in all 50 states, Puerto Rico and Washington, D.C., living
with HIV/AIDS and facing other debilitating illnesses. 

About this Career Opportunity

Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS seeks an organized, dynamic
self-starter to join our development team to support, administer
and help expand an exciting, fast-growing corporate and team
fundraising program. This person will play a key front-facing role
in building and leading our corporate partnership program and
bespoke, customized partner events. They will also oversee the
Broadway Run (our annual 5K fundraiser) and Broadway Cares’ NYC
Marathon fundraising team. Additionally, they will have
front-facing responsibilities with both partners and members of the
Broadway community. This candidate should be detail-oriented,
ambitious, creative and adept at thinking outside the box and
solving puzzles. This person will grow with the team and help us
realize the full potential of the corporate partnership program.
The partnership officer will report to the Senior Partnership
Officer and work closely with members of the development and
communications teams. This is a hybrid role that requires 3 days in
the office and up to 2 days remote each week. 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work with senior partnership officer to develop, strategize and
    implement growth of corporate partnership program
  • Craft partnership proposals, presentation decks and letters of
    agreement
  • Manage and maintain tools and resources needed for
    partnerships, including presentation decks, one sheets and video
    links
  • Lead activations, engagements and moderate discussions with
    members of the Broadway community in a front-facing capacity
  • Lead and support partnerships from beginning to completion,
    being key Broadway Cares representative for the partnership
  • Coordinate and cultivate corporate volunteer participation in
    red bucket fundraising, Broadway Run and other team volunteer
    projects
  • Manage, strategize and grow the Broadway Run and NYC Marathon
    fundraisers, recruiting teams and individual participants, and
    coaching and supporting their fundraising
  • Perform other relevant duties as needed to support senior
    partnership officer and corporate partnership goals
  • Participate with the entire Broadway Cares staff in large
    annual and smaller one-time events, and in facilitating audience
    appeals for two annual six-week fundraising periods, which take
    place in the evenings and on weekends

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in a front-line fundraising or support
    capacity at a nonprofit or arts organization
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written communication and  interpersonal
    skills
  • Ability to think creatively and outside of the box
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (including mail
    merge and Outlook) and Google Drive (including slide presentations,
    forms, sheets and docs)
  • Experience with Raiser’s Edge/NXT, Donor Drive or similar
    databases a plus
  • Comfort with peer-to-peer fundraising, or willingness to
    learn
  • Strong knowledge of and affinity for Broadway theater and
    greater entertainment industry
  • Understanding of and commitment to Broadway Cares/Equity Fights
    AIDS’ mission
  • Knowledge of running and road races a plus
  • Ability to work nights and weekends, as needed
  • Personal drive and initiative
  • Willingness to be a team player, assisting and supporting as
    needed
  • Affection for dogs

Compensation/benefits

  • Salary: $72,000
