Partnerships Analyst

UNOPS - United Nations Office for Project Services Support the coordination of UNOPS participation in high-level conferences and events, both physically and virtually, including supporting the preparation of programmes, side events, exhibitions, accreditation and logistics Preparing briefing materials for UNOPS participants, and external participants where required Coordinating corporate meetings, events and VIP visits as well as the Partnerships Network Event (Virtual and/or in-person event) Organizing accreditation for UNOPS personnel attending international conferences Contribute to setting KPI’s and take post-event follow-up actions including reporting on predefined event success criteria ● Event communication: In close coordination with the Communications Group (CG), support the development and implementation of event-related communications campaigns in coordination with internal stakeholders and partners where relevant Support the development of event-related content including social media posts, event videos, and other materials as required Incorporate campaign messages and themes into all events and communication materials. 2. Partnerships Communication ● Under the supervision of the Partnership Specialist, and in close collaboration with the Communications Group, Liaison Offices, Regional and Country offices and other HQ Units, draft and disseminate a range of internal and external communications aimed at UNOPS global partners, and other stakeholders as required, across internal and external communications channels. ● In collaboration with the Value Proposition team, draft and disseminate targeted communications and resources about UNOPS service lines and thematic content as required. ● Support the internal communications efforts of the wider Partnerships Development team as needed (e.g. help organize and promote knowledge-sharing sessions both online and in person, maintaining PLG’s intranet pages, disseminating resources, etc.) 3. Knowledge Management &amp Capacity Building ● Develop internal guidance to improve UNOPS event planning at key external events ● Provide support and knowledge-sharing through the UNOPS Events Secretariat ● Maintain the UNOPS calendar of upcoming events, and communicate about upcoming events, in close coordination with the Communications Group, Liaison Offices and Executive Office where required ● Support the wider Partnerships Development team with Knowledge Management and the dissemination of resources as needed ● Perform other ad hoc activities related to supporting the Partnerships Development team and Partnerships Director, as required. Impact of Results The successful achievements by the Partnerships Analyst impact the performance of the Partnerships and Liaison Group (PLG) by strengthening UNOPS visibility and standing among key stakeholders at high-level meetings and events, raising awareness of UNOPS mission and services, and thus, supporting the fulfilment of its mandate. In particular, the results will enhance internal coordination ahead of UNOPS participation at key events, while helping to build UNOPS capacity to deliver impactful events, and communicate effectively about our services. In summary, the Partnerships Analyst will contribute significantly to ensuring the successful delivery of UNOPS Events and Visibility strategy, and thereby contribute meaningfully to UNOPS mission to build better lives. Education/Experience/Language requirements Education: ● A Bachelor degree preferably in Public Relations, Event Management, Communications, International Relations, Business Administration, or related fields is required. ● An Advanced university degree (Master’s or equivalent) preferably in the above-mentioned subjects may substitute for some years of experience. Experience: ● At least 2 years of demonstrated experience in communications, and/or marketing and/or event management is required. ● Experience in marketing and/or communications (both internal and external) including campaign planning, delivery and stakeholder management is strongly desired. ● Prior experience working in international organizations, international development, post-disaster and/or emergency contexts is an advantage. Language Requirements: ● Full working knowledge of English is essential. ● Fluency in other UN languages, in particular French and Spanish, is an asset. Functional Responsibilities

Under the overall guidance and direct supervision of the Partnerships Specialist, the Partnerships Analyst is responsible for developing and implementing the events plan for the HQ Partnerships Group.

The key functions include:
1. Event Management (including research, strategic positioning, outreach, event organization and communications, etc.)
2. Partnerships Communication
3. Knowledge Management and Capacity Building, and other tasks as required

1. Event Management
● Research & Positioning: Research and recommend external events to the Team Lead (Partnerships Specialist) where UNOPS can achieve high visibility among key stakeholders, strengthen existing as well as foster new partnerships, and promote its brand, services and strategic solutions.
● Outreach: Support the Partnerships Specialist in the outreach to networks and event organizers; assist with securing event participation, including ED/SLT speaking engagements, and events managed by UNOPS.
● Event organization: Support the coordination of UNOPS participation in high-level conferences and events, both physically and virtually, including supporting the preparation of programmes, side events, exhibitions, accreditation and logistics; Preparing briefing materials for UNOPS participants, and external participants where required; Coordinating corporate meetings, events and VIP visits as well as the Partnerships Network Event (Virtual and/or in-person event); Organizing accreditation for UNOPS personnel attending international conferences; Contribute to setting KPI’s and take post-event follow-up actions including reporting on predefined event success criteria;
