  • Location: Minus18 Office, at the Victorian Pride Centre, 79-81 Fitzroy St, St Kilda VIC. This is a hybrid role, including working from home for part of each week.
  • Salary: $97,302.12 Full Time Salary Package (Non-PBI Equivalent) + Super – includes:
    • $88,287.68 Base Pay
    • Up to $6,385.95 in tax-savings via our offered charity salary packaging.
    • $2,628.49 allowances and cash benefits
    • + $9,711.64 Super (11%)
  • Start date: ASAP

Minus18 is Australia’s charity improving the lives of LGBTQIA+ youth. We support LGBTQIA+ young people through events and digital platforms, and provide fee for service LGBTQIA+ inclusion training to schools, businesses and community organisations. Since 2011 over 100,000 young people have engaged in these services across Melbourne, Sydney and Adelaide, and millions more via digital platforms.

ABOUT THIS POSITION

The Partnerships Coordinator is a passionate and driven individual who will oversee and cultivate relationships with sponsors, partners and through grants to enable our Youth Programs & Events ensuring they remain free and accessible for LGBTQIA+ Young People.

In this role you will work with an exciting variety of relationships from community organisations to large brands including Bonds, Converse, VicHealth and lululemon. You will have developed skills in communication and be able to effectively articulate our mission, impact and funding needs to all our stakeholders.

You will be an integral part of an interdisciplinary team who meets regularly to share learnings, ideas, and build strategies to respond to challenges and opportunities that arise throughout the year (including LGBTQIA+ events that are celebrated during days of significance – like Mardi Gras, Pride Month, IDAHOBIT and Wear It Purple Day®).

The successful candidate for this role will have a demonstrated ability to manage a diverse portfolio of stakeholders fostering strong relationships and have a genuine commitment to supporting and improving the lives of LGBTQIA+ Young People.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

PARTNERSHIPS – YOUTH PROGRAMS

  • Lead the acquisition of partnerships, sponsorship, grants and funding across Minus18 youth programs
  • Lead, co-create and coordinate sponsorship activations, with the Youth team, that are accessible and engaging for our attendees.
  • Coordinate and develop the materials required by sponsors and funders for marketing and promotion.
  • Coordinate procedural and financial administration for partnership and sponsorship opportunities (including invoicing and agreements).
  • Coordinate the activation of partnerships within existing Minus18 youth programs – including sponsors within our youth hand event programs
  • Foster partnerships with aligned organisations that provide enablers to our work, including LGBTQIA+ organisations, pride networks, councils and venues

PARTNERSHIPS – CAMPAIGNS

  • With support from the Partnerships Team Lead, execute partnership moments across the year, such as campaign partnerships during IDAHOBIT, Pride Month, Wear it Purple Day and Trans Awareness Week
  • Co-create and coordinate partner campaign activations, with support from the Marketing team
  • Coordinate and develop the materials required by campaign partners and to elicit new opportunities
  • Coordinate procedural and financial administration for campaign partners (including invoicing and agreements).

REPORTING & BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

  • Report weekly to the team on revenue and partnership developments.
  • Reflect, document and report quarterly on the impact of your role and partnership projects to the GM
  • Development of new partnership strategies that increase the engagement, retention and conversion
  • Manage and respond to risks, feedback and public relation responsibilities relating to partners
  • Complete grant acquittals and reporting as required
  • Deliver on other areas of work, as directed by your Team Leader.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Qualifications and/or experience in business, marketing, sales, partnerships or relationship building, account management.
  • Strong relationship building and communication skills, including experience with CRM processes.
  • Strong experience working independently on administration functions with a high attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated lived experience and understanding of diverse identities within the LGBTQIA+ community.
  • Demonstrated passion for Minus18’s mission to improve the lives of LGBTQIA+ youth.
