UN Women also coordinates and promotes the UN system’s work in advancing gender equality, and in all deliberations and agreements linked to the 2030 Agenda. The entity works to position gender equality as fundamental to the Sustainable Development Goals, and a more inclusive world.
Within the delegated authority and under the supervision of Partnerships Development Specialist or his/her designated mandated representative(s), the UNV Private Sector Partnerships Analyst will:
• Undertake a detailed mapping and analysis of private sector presence in South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, and Lesotho and identify high net worth potential funders (corporate and individual) for the Strategic Note 2023-2026;
• Identify resource mobilization opportunities within mapped analyzed private sector data and other potential donors;
• Develop strong Concept Notes to submit to identified companies/donors;
• Track WEP signatory www.weps.org registration by private sector to ensure increased sign ups per quarter;
• Develop a compelling Fact Sheet to motivate funding and case for strong partnerships on GEWE in Middle Income Countries (MIC);
• Liaise with Programme Teams to gauge trends on funding opportunities within their networks;
• Attend donor sub-technical meetings and keep track of emerging and follow up matters;
• Actively Monitor SADC Protocol on Gender Equality and Women Empowerment to monitor emerging issues/resolutions to inform strategy on partnerships and resource mobilization for SAMCO countries;
• Schedule catch up/briefing meetings with funding partners in liaison with program teams and follow up on emerging issues;
• Tap into volunteerism initiatives of Private Sector to showcase areas of potential collaboration and support;
• Liaise with Communications Analyst to showcase partner’s contribution to SAMCO funded programmes to retain partnerships;
• Previous experience in working with private sector, fund raising and strategy development will be an added advantage;
• Any other related tasks as may be required or assigned by the supervisor.
