About this Position

Play a decisive role in building Wayside’s meaningful relationships with corporate and business partners that are essential to enabling Wayside’s mission and continued provision of services for the community. This will be achieved via corporate donations, sponsorship and pro-bono support, as well as working with partners to build a strong workplace engagement offering including through workplace giving, staff fundraising and Awayside Days – Wayside’s paid corporate volunteering opportunity.

As the Partnerships Manager, you will be responsible for developing an overarching strategy, strengthening existing relationships, developing new relationships and optimising the systems and processes within the portfolio. You will work as part of a strong team of high-performing professional fundraisers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a corporate partnerships strategy and framework, with the intent to research, identify, establish and motivate partnerships for the purpose of funding sustainability and mission-enhancement.
  • Build successful relationships with corporate and business donor relationships.
  • Manage the corporate pipeline, including the delivery of events, meetings, speaking engagements and presentations.
  • Manage corporate grants (including identification, application and acquittals), with support from the Grants Manager and Programs team.
  • Promote Awayside Days and collaborate with the Community Engagement team to ensure a high quality and engaging experience for corporate volunteers.
  • Work closely with the Community Fundraising Manager and Individual Giving Manager to ensure campaigns and events are marketed to corporates, including staff engagement opportunities (Long Walk Home, City2Surf, Awayside Days).
  • Work closely with the Programs and Marketing teams to develop captivating proposals and presentations.
  • Provide reporting with appropriate data, analysis and recommendations, ensuring all corporate donor and prospect information is captured in Salesforce.

Other

  • Develop, monitor and report on fundraising budgets. Recognise barriers to reaching financial targets and find effective solutions.
  • Any other duties as directed by the Manager or equivalent role
  • Undertake training as required and directed
  • Practice and promote appropriate self-care at an individual, team, and organisation-wide level.

Work Health and Safety

  • Accountable for complying with legislation and all Wayside WHS policies/procedures and instructions, reporting any hazards or safety issues to your manager, and performing all tasks in a manner that guards against risk to self and others within the workplace.
  • Undertake risk assessment and safety plans in collaboration with People and Culture

About you

  • Proven experience working with corporate or business donors and securing high value partnerships or philanthropic gifts.
  • Proven community building experience
  • Exceptional relationship management skills with demonstrated experience fostering relationships with a wide range of stakeholders to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills and confidence in preparing and delivering compelling presentations, proposals and funding applications.
  • Experience preparing and monitoring budgets against agreed targets, and reporting to management and Board on financial progress.
