About the Role:

The Partnerships & Philanthropy Senior Manager is a highly influential role responsible in leading a team of highly skilled fundraisers whilst working closely with the Marketing and Fundraising Director to implement strategies that will support the delivery of a national fundraising strategy.

You will have the ability to seek out commercial opportunities and are a donor centric fundraiser who displays passion, ambition and strong leadership skills to help continue to build the capabilities of a performing and collaborative team.

With a focus on growing the partnerships and philanthropy portfolios, this role is seeking an established relationship fundraiser to take responsibility in the development of relationship strategies to take prospects and donors through all phases – identification, cultivation, solicitation, stewardship, and renewals across portfolios as well as provide guidance to community fundraising campaigns.

The successful candidate will have proven success in networking and influencing, they will be innovative, people orientated as well as able to work in a fast paced and agile environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the fundraising strategy to grow income from corporates, trusts and foundations, community fundraising and high net worth individuals.
  • Support the leadership team and the board to play an active role in fundraising for services.
  • Manage a portfolio of corporate partners, trusts and foundations, community fundraising groups, major donors and prospects in order to generate and maintain significant gifts for our work.
  • Implementing an engagement strategy for new and existing relationships to ensure they are kept up to date with research, innovations and achievements, including pitching new ideas to existing funders to grow engagement and income.
  • Work with the Business Development Manager to create a pipeline of prospects and an appropriate stewardship strategy for each.
  • Manage the Relationships Manager and Relationships Coordinator to support growth from corporate partnerships, community fundraising supporters, trusts and foundations and major donors.
  • Support and guide the Events Campaign Manager to deliver key community fundraising events.
  • Oversee reporting, and financial budgets and expenditure to meet fundraising targets.
  • Guide and manage the Database Manager to provide an organisational wide consistent use of Salesforce, and develop policies and procedures to ensure data privacy and safety.
  • Support the fundraising team to develop a reporting system to enable ROI analysis of fundraising activities.
  • Manage relationships with 3rd party suppliers, payment platforms and fundraising agencies.
  • Play an active role in quarterly planning process to ensure fundraising is represented in this.

Skills & Experience:

  • Broad fundraising experience with a focus on relationship fundraising
  • A track record in driving strategy for growth from 2 of the following 4 income sources – corporates, trusts and foundations, high net worth individuals, community fundraising.
  • Strong planning and leadership skills.
  • Highest level of stewardship experience with an understanding of how to build and maintain long last relationships with partners and donors.
  • Strong coordination and communication skills – particularly in working with a diverse range of stakeholders to achieve common goals.
  • Demonstrated experience of managing a team of fundraisers.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Flexible approach to working in a fast paced environment.
  • Experience briefing and managing suppliers and agencies.
  • Budget and financial reporting experience.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems, ideally Salesforce or similar.
  • Passion and interest in mental health.
