About the role

We are seeking an experienced project officer to work within the Palliative and Supportive Care Education (PaSCE) team during an exciting period of expansion as our Palliative and Supportive Care Education delivery grows. The PaSCE team offer a variety of programs which are aimed at increasing Health Care Professionals’ knowledge and understanding of palliative care.

Based in Subiaco, this position is part-time at 0.6FTE (Monday – Wednesday) and fixed-term until 30 June 2026. There may be a requirement to work outside of regular business hours on occasion.

What you’ll be doing:

Reporting to the PaSCE Manager and working with external stakeholders you will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of our programs. Your other main responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining and reporting on the current status of all project activities and ensuring their compliance with relevant stakeholders
  • Continuously monitoring and analysing the project process and identify areas for growth and development
  • Representing CCWA at education sessions and other events to ensure we are being represented in a professional image
  • Developing and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Significant experience in project coordination
  • Significant experience in coordinating programs including evaluation and developing.
  • Experience working in a health environment is highly desirable
  • A tertiary qualification in a health-related profession is desirable
  • Knowledge or experience working in Palliative Care is desirable
  • High level proficiency in the use of software applications
  • Experience using a LMS is highly desirable
  • Strong numeracy and data entry skills is highly desirable
  • High level of verbal and written communication skills
  • High level of attention to detail, organisational and time management skills (resourceful, proactive, initiative) and the ability to meet competing and tight deadlines
  • Work unsupervised and within a team environment
  • Proven confidentiality
  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the values of Cancer Council WA
