We are seeking dynamic, experienced support workers to assist with our Sustaining Tenancy program. This role is primarily focused on client outreach support
The role of the support worker is to be responsible for supporting the provision of quality, flexible, individualised client directed support services for people with mental health issues and disabilities; are over 65 or other complex needs living within the community.
Communify is a multi-service organisation that provides a range of programs and activities for families and individuals in the community to enhance their quality of life.
Who we are looking for:
Qualifications and Experience:
Required
- Lived or professional experience working with people experiencing mental health issues and/or at risk of losing their housing
- Approachable and empathetic manner and attitude
- A current Open QLD driver’s license and ability to undergo a National Police Check
Desirable
- Experience working directly with a broad range of people including mental health, disabilities living in the community
- Experience and knowledge around strength based, recovery oriented support
- Experience facilitating small group interactions
