Description of the Assignment:  

In November 2022, based on the request from the Chair of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the United Nations Secretary-General declared the country eligible for the Peacebuilding Fund (PBF), to support peacebuilding and social cohesion, strengthen the country’s resilience, as well as its sustainable development and reform agenda. An important pillar of this support will be strengthening efforts to more effectively address the past and deal with hate speech to help individuals and communities build trust and deal with the enduring legacy of the 1992-1995 conflict. In particular, dealing effectively with the consequences of atrocity crimes that were perpetrated will be important. This consultancy will be a critical contribution to the current United Nations-funded PBF programme in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
