We are looking to appoint a confident, detail-oriented and enthusiastic person to join our
team, working within the Central Conservation team at the Gosforth Headquarters.

The aim of the Northumberland Peat Partnership (NPP) is to develop a peatland restoration
programme across the partnership area, which is all of Northumberland north of the A69. The
partnership comprises of NGOs, local authorities and statutory agencies as well as land
managers. Its aim is to collectively facilitate positive management and restoration of peatland
habitats across Northumberland, excluding the area already covered through the work of the
North Pennines AONB (south of the A69). Funding for this post was secured through the Great
North Bog initiative, thanks to a grant it secured from the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation.

The Engagement Officer will support the NPP Manager in developing and delivering the NPP
programme, facilitate partnership collaboration and communications and take the lead in
engagement activities (with academic institutions, the public and landowners/managers).

The post is offered as a 3-year full-time permanent contract.

The role is for 35 hours a week. The salary starts at £24,336 per annum.
