About this Program
The Commonwealth Psychosocial Support program supports and services that are purchased to work in partnership with individuals who are not more appropriately funded through the NDIS and are significantly affected by severe mental illness, which has impacted on their associated psychosocial functional capacity. These services, in partnership with families and carers (as appropriate), provide a range of non-clinical community-based support to these individuals to achieve their recovery goals
About the opportunity
As Peer Rehabilitation and Recovery Worker, you’ll provide positive role models of hope and recovery and share their experiences to assist families; clinicians and the community better understand the participant perspective. You will provide direct, practical support to participants that help them regain, keep, and improve skills, including self-management skills, while also supporting participants to identify and nurture natural supports that sustain recovery.
