For more information, visit .Job DescriptionRole: Pega Lead System ArchitectLocation: Remote from the UK (with some client-site travel)Assignment Type: PermanentReports to: Team Lead / SA CoE Lead (Dotted Line)Salary: £Competitive + BenefitsThe RoleThe RoleThe Pega Lead Decisioning Architect will be responsible for the design, development, and support of customer decisioning solutions in Pega CDH (Customer Decisioning Hub). You will have a proven track record of leading Pega decisioning developments, preferably on complex large-scale multi-channel implementations, and an extensive subject matter expertise in the areas of marketing and decisioning.In this role, you will collaborate with sponsors, business stakeholders, business analysts, data governance, analytics, functional and technical leads to ensure the right solution is created for the business. Often you will need to suggest your own business/marketing solutions to problems rather than just taking pre-defined requirements.You will also be responsible for the work of other Decision Architects, and you will ensure your solutions are delivered on-time and on-budget using industry standard project delivery frameworks including Agile, Waterfall & Scrum.Life as a Pega Senior Decisioning Architect at Merkle

  • Pega Certified Decisioning Consultant (PCDC) qualification
  • 5 years+ of using Pega CDH and Pega Dev Studio (or equivalent applications in earlier versions) in a marketing or development environment
  • In depth knowledge of “Next Best Action”, “Always-On” / real-time marketing, Pega adaptive modelling and arbitration techniques.
  • Ability to present/articulate complex technical subjects in a simple clear manner to business stakeholders
  • Ability to design and build a conceptual decisioning framework from scratch.
  • Ability to use subject matter expertise and knowledge of best practice to drive debate.
  • Proven leadership experience
  • Ability to travel occasionally to client locations

Desirable

  • Experience of agile development environments
  • Pega Senior Certified System Architect (PCSSA) qualification
  • Pega Certified Data Scientist (PCDS) certification
  • Certification/experience of other marketing or data science technologies (e.g. Unica, Adobe Campaign, SAS, R), and an ambition to cross-train to Pega
  • Technical qualifications in recent versions (e.g. version 8 or above for Pega)

  • A highly technical, hands-on, motivated and collaborative individual with exceptional communication skills and proven experience working with diverse teams of technical architects, business users and IT teams.
  • Experience in designing and implementing technical solutions on a large scale while applying best practices to the solutions.
  • Excellent time management and organization skills as well as the ability to manage multiple competing business / technical priorities
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate, partner, and collaborate
  • Dedication to a team-oriented environment with the ability to drive and lead by example
  • Ability to define and enforce best practices in PEGA architecture / design / coding
  • Mentor and train junior team members, and client business stakeholders
  • Ensure team are adhering to design recommendations, development best practices and configuration is Pega guardrail compliant throughout the entire Pega project lifecycle.
  • Aptitude to pick up new concepts and technologies rapidly, and an ability to explain to both business and IT stakeholders
  • Ability to identify and present innovative and out-of-the-box solutions for complex business problems
